Obituary
Jean Elizabeth Brown, 71, of Franklin, NC, passed away Friday, September 23, 2011.
Born in Palm Beach Co., FL, she was the daughter of Rhoene Irvin Szember and the late Clarence Szember. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Brown; daughter, Kelly White; brother, Roy Szember and a granddaughter, Carrie Sellers. Jean retired as a Bank Manager and worked at Walmart. She was a member of St. Cyprians Church.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by two children, Penny Brown Sellers and husband Rick of Otto and Chris Brown and wife Cindy of West Palm, FL; sister, Doris Hesse of St. Augustine, FL; brother, Brent Szember of Lantana, FL; six grandchildren; two great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Monday, October 3, in the Chapel of Macon Funeral Home. Rev. Duane Corle will officiate. Burial will be in Pine Crest Cemetery in Lakeworth, FL.
The family will receive friends thirty minutes prior to the service at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to American Cancer Society, PO Box 1648 Franklin, NC 28744 and Compassionate Hospice, 1435 Haw Creek Circle, Suite 402, Cumming, GA 30040.
Macon Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
