Obituary
Janie Raby Waldroop, 69, of Franklin, passed away at her home after an extended illness, Sunday, September 9, 2018.
Born in Cherokee, NC, she was the daughter of the late John "Ted" Alvin Raby and Evelyn Queen Raby. She was a member of First Pentecost Assembly of God. Janie was a beloved wife, mother and grandmother.
She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Wade Waldroop; son, Brian Waldroop (Debbie) of Franklin; one step daughter, Angela Lamb (Jeff) of Franklin; four brothers, Jerry Raby, Donald Raby, Roger Raby and Robert Raby; five sisters, Ruth Ammons, Lottie Beck, Brenda Jones, Linda Hughes and Opal Johnson; four grandchildren, Nicole Ledford (Jacob), Danielle Waldroop (fiancé Jordan Talley), Jacob Lamb and Joshua Bailey (Brittany); three great grandchildren; mother-in-law, Florence Taylor and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, September 12, in the Chapel of Macon Funeral Home. Rev. Eddie Stillwell, Rev. Charlie Reed and Rev. James Smiley will officiate. Burial will be in the Maiden's Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Macon Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Jimmy Ammons, Jarrett "JT" Beck, Sam Beck, Jacob Lamb, Taylor Lee and Travis Waldroop.
