Obituary
James Keith Tallent, 51, of Franklin, went to be with the Lord, Friday, October 19, 2012.
Born in Macon Co, he was the son of Virginia Moore Tallent and the late Rev. Wallace Tallent. Keith enjoyed hunting and fishing and was a faithful member of Windy Gap Baptist Church.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his son, Christopher Tallent of Highlands; sister, Audrey Buchanan and husband Coleman of Franklin and nephew, Jesse Buchanan of Franklin. He is also survived by his fiancée, Diane Waldroop and her daughter Brittney Watson, who considered Keith her "Poppy".
Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, October 22nd, at Windy Gap Baptist Church. Rev. Mark Bishop will officiate. Burial will be in Bethel United Methodist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 4-6:00 p.m. Sunday, October 21st, at Macon Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Ben West, Mark Holland, Ben Roper, Olin Ledford, Scottie Bishop, Kevin Rogers, Bobby Peek and Jimmy Hall.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Windy Gap Baptist Church Building Fund, Attn: Edith Holland, 1111 Windy Gap Road, Franklin, NC 28734.
