James Ellwood Shuman, 66, of Franklin, passed away Monday, May 4, 2015.
Born in Dover, Ohio, he was the son of Seaward Shuman and the late Katie Denslow Shuman. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by a sister, Arla Jean. James was a U.S. Army veteran; attended Missionary Alliance; enjoyed fishing, camping, hiking, biking and being outdoors.
In addition to his father, he is survived by his wife, Patsy Charmaine Jones Shuman; five children, Angela Phelps and Kim Parrish both of New Philly, OH, Jason Shuman of Leitchfield, KY, Jared Shuman of Windsor Mill, MD and Justin Shuman of Lompoc, GA; brother, Steve Shuman of New Philly, OH; four sisters, Fern Kooi of Franklin, Rebecca Walton of New Philly, OH, Lois Lawter of Ocala, FL and Grace Brown of Franklin; seven grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
