Obituary
James Thomas Mills, 78, passed away on Tuesday, March 5, 2019.
Born in Jackson County, he was the son of the late Julius Harry Mills and Viola Virginia Lawing. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son Cameron Lee Mills; sister, Bernice Shepard; and two brothers, Joe Mills and Jerry Mills. James attended Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. He enjoyed fishing, camping, going to races, and spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Jean Sanders Mills of 55 years; sons, Preston Mills of Ellenwood, GA, and Wesley Mills of Franklin; sisters, Reva Allen and Betty Williams; brother, Lee Robert Mills; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
No services are planned at this time.
