Obituary
James "Jim" Kelly McDowell, 60, of Franklin, passed away, Sunday, April 28, 2019.
He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Marian Moore McDowell; two children, Tyler McDowell of Franklin and Sloane McDowell of Coventry, RI; brother, Bill McDowell of Franklin and many nieces and nephews.
Born in Pontiac, MI, he was the son of Wilma Hicks of Franklin and the late Marvin McDowell. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his brother Brian McDowell.
A private service will be held at a later date.
Memorial donations can be made to the American Heart Association, 10 Glenlake Pkwy NE South Tower, Ste 400, Atlanta, GA 30328 or the Appalachian Animal Center, PO Box 81, Franklin, NC 28744.
