Obituary

James "Jim" Alvin Kelly, 70, of Franklin, passed away Thursday, May 30, 2013 after a long illness.

Born in North Bend, OH, he was the son of the late Eugene Kelly and Lelia Lozier Kelly. Jim was a US Air Force veteran, where he worked as an Intelligence Superintendent. He was a member of Holly Springs Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Joy Adams Kelly; two step-children, Jennifer Vinson and husband Steven and Rebecca Adams all of Florida; a brother, Donald Eugene Kelly and wife Sharon of St. Petersburg, FL; two sisters, Sandra Kelly and Linda Uchtman and husband George both of Cincinnati, OH; granddaughter, Peyton Combs and a nieces and several nephews.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 8th at Holly Springs Baptist Church. Rev. Brandon Breedlove will officiate with military rites conducted by VFW Post 7339 and American Legion Post 108.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Holly Springs Baptist Church Debt Retirement, 366 Holly Springs Church Rd, Franklin, NC 28734 or the American Cancer Society, PO Box 1648, Franklin, NC 28744.
