Obituary
James Vernon Shears II, 81, of Otto, passed away Monday, February 17, 2014.
Born in Flint, MI, he was the son of the late Leslie George Shears and Vera Dale Shears. James enjoyed making quilts for expecting moms and dads and was active in Truth Worship.
He is survived by two children, Penny Shears and Stanley Shears both of Sylva; two sisters, Clarabelle Spane and Anna Anderson both of Flint, MI; brother, Leslie Shears of Franklin; three grandchildren, April Shears, Michael Shears and Jessica Gilbreath; one great-granddaughter, Addyson Gilbreath; special niece and nephew, Sandra and Roger "Dale" McMahan of Franklin and several other nieces and nephews.
No services have been planned at this time.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Truth Worship Center.
