James Wible Eyre Drake, 88, of Franklin, NC, passed away Tuesday, March 26, 2019.

Jim was born on December 23, 1930 in Pittsburgh, PA to the late James and Anna (Brown) Drake. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce (Sullivan); a daughter, Diane Janine Bartholomew; brothers, George Drake, John Drake, and sister, Peggy. He was a US Marine Corps veteran who served both during the WWII and Korean War Eras. Jim was an active member of Reynolds VFW Post 7599. He was a retired truck driver and a member of Western Pennsylvania Teamsters Local 261.

Jim is survived by his son-in-law, Larry Bartholomew of Franklin, NC; brother, Kenny Drake of Pittsburgh, PA; grandchildren, Amanda McNeill (Nick) of Kingston, MA, Samantha Scott (Nick) of Nashville, TN; great grandchildren, Isabella McNeill and Oliver McNeill; and several nieces and nephews.

A private burial will be held at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Bridgeville, PA.
