James C. Bost, 69, of Franklin, passed away Sunday, August 24, 2014.
Born in Great Falls, Montana, he was the son of Ellen Bueller Bost and the late Ed Bost. He was a graduate of Wofford University and received his master's degree from the University of South Carolina. He was a member of Pi Kappa Phi Fraternity and played and sang blue grass music his whole life. Jim retired from the South Carolina Department of Mental Health as a counselor.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife of 46 years, Tonda Ellington Bost; two children, Jason Bost and wife Anna Marie of Myrtle Beach, SC and Eric Bost and wife Elizabeth of Seneca, SC; brother, Ed Bost of Simpsonville, SC; sister, Grace Rouse of Statesville, NC and five grandchildren.
A private service will be held at a later date.
