Maurice "Jack" O'Neal Jr., 71, of Franklin, passed away on Tuesday, April 5, 2011.

Born in Lewisburg, TN, he was the son of Maurice O'Neal Sr. and Dorothy Throneberry O'Neal of Nashville, TN. Jack was a member of Franklin Church of Christ where he was very active in missionary work.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife of 51 years, Sandy O'Neal; two daughters, Terry Lynn Hooper and husband Clinton of Clayton, GA and Mary Kay Cochran and husband Mark of Franklin; a son, Buster O'Neal and wife Mary of Columbia, TN; sister, Kay Prince and husband Phil of Nashville, TN; brother, Joe O'Neal and wife Lillian of Murfreesboro, TN; six grandchildren; eight great grandchildren and six nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service will be held at 12:00 p.m. Saturday, April 9 at Franklin Church of Christ. Minister Radford Penland and Minister Ottis Qualls will officiate. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 p.m. Friday, April 8 at Macon Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Shane O'Neal, Brian Hutchinson, Anthony Cochran, Bill Thompson, Dale Thompson and Tom Johnson.

Mark Moreland and James Cochran will serve as Honorary Pallbearers.
