Howard James Gerber, 67, of Franklin, passed away on Saturday, May 10, 2014.
Born in Ventura, CA, he was the son of the late Howard M. Gerber and Maxine L. Henry. Howard was a U.S. Air Force veteran serving during the Vietnam Era.
He is survived by two daughters, Dorothy Gerber of Franklin and Maxine Gerber of Highlands; brother, Larry Gerber of Los Angeles, CA
A Celebration of Life will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, May 25, at Woodlawn Cemetery. VFW Post 7339 and American Legion Post 108 will conduct military rites.
Memorial donations can be made to the Macon County Habitat for Humanity, PO Box 1585, Franklin, NC 28744 or Macon County Humane Society, PO Box 81, Franklin, NC 28744.
