Obituary
Howard Lee Allen, 91, of Franklin, formerly of Andrews, NC, passed away Tuesday, June 7, 2016.
Born in Bartlesville, OK, he was the son of the late Howard and Goldie Ihrig Allen. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Olietta Gulley; and two sons, Lee Allen and Robert Allen. Howard was a WWII veteran, serving in the US Navy. He was former owner of Howard Allen's Body Shop in Jupiter, FL and collected antique cars. He loved to travel and was Baptist by faith.
He is survived by one sister, Peggy Schwartz of Topeka, KS and granddaughter, Amanda Kenna of Ohio. He is also survived by his friends and caregivers, Anne Marie Rampell and Ronald Rampell of Franklin.
No Services will be held.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Appalachian Animal Rescue Center, PO Box 81, Franklin, NC 28744.
