Homer D. Morgan, 71, of Franklin, passed away Friday, January 15, 2016.
He was the youngest of four sons, born to the late Paul and Virginia Estes Morgan. Homer retired from Belden after 30 years; was custodian at Macon Middle School and was an attendant at the Carson Recycling Center where he looked forward to greeting everyone. He enjoyed worshiping with friends at the Community Baptist Church where he was a member. Homer had a passion for gospel music and enjoyed attending Gaither concerts and listening to their music. Over the years he was happy camping, fishing, hunting, watching the Atlanta Braves and taking care of his Boston terriers, Bengy, Wendy and Kayla.
He will be lovingly remembered by Alice, Joey, Lisa, Natasha, Brandon and Hailey as well as many family and friends.
Funeral Service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, January 19, in the Chapel of Macon Funeral Home. Rev. Ronnie Owens and Rev. Steve Reeves will officiate. Burial will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Monday, January 18, at Macon Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Bobby Ledford, Boyce Cunningham, Chris Stahl, Craig Stahl, Eddie Fox and George Roper.
