Obituary

Homer M. Hedden, 86, of Franklin, passed away Friday, May 25, 2012.

Born in Macon County, he was the son of the late John Hedden and Ruie Woods Hedden. He was preceded in death by a son, Homer Lewis Hedden. Homer was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII; member of Franklin Church of God and loved gardening, hunting and fishing.

He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Beulah A. Shepherd Hedden; five children, Louise Shields of Franklin, Betty Pendergrass of Cave Springs, GA, Shirley Johnson of Bonita Springs, FL, R.C. Hedden of West Melbourne, FL and Theda Kay Hawks of Etowah, NC; two sisters, Allie Gibson and Ina Carpenter both of Franklin; eight grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, May 27, at the Franklin Church of God. Rev. Thurman Jenkins and Rev. Phillip Cochran will officiate. Burial will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.

Pallbearers will be men of the church.

Memorial donations can be made to the Franklin Church of God.

Macon Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
