Obituary
Herbert "Bud" Butler, 80, of Franklin, passed away Sunday, May 13, 2007.
Born in Stanford, CT, he was the son of the late Herbert Frederick Butler and Rebecca Wood Butler. He was preceded in death by a brother, Bruce Butler who died in 2001. Bud was a U.S. Navy veteran of WWII and was a self employed contractor. He was a member of Patton United Methodist Church; was an avid gardener and enjoyed woodworking.
He is survived by his wife, Edith J. Lovell Butler; three children, David Lee Butler and wife Carol Brown of West Haven, CT, Laurie May Butler of Franklin and Lynette Ann Reeves of Plymouth, Minnesota; sister, Audrey Penachio of Springdale, CT; seven grandchildren; and eleven great grandchildren.
A Funeral Service will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday, May 15, in the Chapel of Macon Funeral Home. Rev. Keith Newell and Rev. Randy Campbell will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, PO Box 1648, Franklin, NC 28744 or Patton United Methodist Church Building Fund, C/O Gary Holland, 65 Scroggs Road, Franklin, NC 28734.
