Helen Daves Dowdle, 88, of Franklin, entered into rest on Saturday, April 16, 2005.
A native of Macon County, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Ann Phillips Daves. She was married to the late Woodrow Dowdle who died in 1979. She was a member of Wells Grove Baptist Church.
She is survived by two children, Brenda Corbin of Buford, GA and Gene Dowdle and wife Juanita of Duluth, GA; one sister, Josephine Baird of Franklin; four grandchildren; five great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday, April 19, at Wells Grove Baptist Church. Rev. Jonathan Wolf and Rev. Lester Evans will officiate. Burial will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Monday, April 18, at Macon Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Jackie Baird, Lewis Ashe, Christopher Dills, Jim Ashe, Tony Ashe and Dennis McNab.
Memorial donations may be made to the Wells Grove Baptist Church, 105 Wells Grove Road, Franklin, NC 28734.
