Obituary
Hazel M. Smock, 92, of Franklin, passed away Friday, April 27, 2007.
A native of Yamato, FL, she was the daughter of the late George Drew Smith, Sr. and Anna Belle Thornton Smith. She was preceded in death by her husband R.A. Smock who died in 1969; six brothers, Albert Leroy Smith, James Wilson Smith, William Arthur Smith George Drew Smith, Jr., Daniel Howard Smith and Lawrence Cason Smith; and a sister, Marjorie Gladys Priest. She and her husband had a Whirlpool Franchise in Delray Beach, FL for years. Hazel loved crafts of all kinds. She was past president of the Zonta Club and was a member of Cason Methodist Church, Delray Beach, FL.
She is survived by three children, Anna J. Sheppard of Franklin, Phyllis Inez Barnes of East Hampton, NY and Walter E. Carter of Riverview FL; 13 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; and several great-great grandchildren.
