Obituary
Hazel Talley Reaves, 81, of Franklin, passed away Tuesday, December 20, 2016.
Born in Macon Co, she was the daughter of the late Walter Monroe Talley and Mae Owens Talley. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Raymond Talley. Hazel worked 32 years in Orlando, FL as a certified dental assistant before retiring to Franklin. Her love was cooking, entertaining and growing flowers and vegetables. She loved her Lord and Higdonville Baptist Church, where she was a member.
She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Roy Reaves; two brothers, Harvey Talley of Franklin, NC and Port Orange, FL and Homer Talley of Franklin; three sisters, Helen Conway of Apopka, FL, Dorothy Higdon of Franklin, Mary Lou Anderson of Dallas, TX.
Funeral Service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Thursday, December 22nd at Higdonville Baptist Church. Rev. Scott Mathews and Dr. Simeon Martin will officiate. Burial will be in Higdonville Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 2-3:00 p.m., prior to the service at the church.
Pallbearers will be Duane Talley, Darren Talley, Horace Owens, Larry Dale, Mike Anderson and Larry Raby.
Macon Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
