Obituary

Harley Richard Tyler, 88, of Franklin, passed away, Wednesday, January 9, 2013.

Born in Macon Co, he was the son of the late John Richard Tyler and Ethel Stewman Tyler. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Ruth Tyler McDowell and a nephew, Dan McDowell. Harley enjoyed fishing and hunting. He worked many years as Wal-Mart greeter. He was a member of Sugarfork Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Mildred Tyler; step-son, Mike Holt and wife Sandy of Asheville; eight nieces and nephews, John McDowell, Wanda Waldroop, Bobby McDowell, Jeri Reece, June Wike and Cathy Kari; three step grandchildren; three step-great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, January 13th, in the Chapel of Macon Funeral Home. Rev. Ronnie Owens will officiate. Burial will be in Sugarfork Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Bob McDowell, John McDowell, Patrick McDowell, Travis Waldroop, Bill Wike, Craig Wike and Zack Holt.

Macon Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
