Gwendolyn Jones Young, 94, of Flowery Branch, GA, formerly of Franklin, passed away on April 29, 2012.
Born in Richmond, VA, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Morgan Jones and Sarah DeVinney Jones. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard H. Young and a sister, Frances Nettles. Gwen retired from John Hancock Life Insurance Company where she worked as an office manager.
She is survived by her daughter, Joyce Wildes of Flowery Branch, GA; son, Richard H. Young, Jr. of Unicoi, TN.
A Funeral Service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 9, in the Chapel of Macon Funeral Home. Graveside Service will follow at Highlands Memorial Park Cemetery, Highlands, NC.
Macon Funeral Home, Franklin, NC is in charge of the arrangements.
