Gwendolyn "Gwen" Litten, 85, of Franklin, passed away Thursday, November 21, 2013.
Born in Augusta, GA, she was the daughter of the late Charlie Pinkney Powell Sr. and Emmie Walton Powell. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Sandy Litten; five brothers and one sister. Gwen was an active member of the Ladies Auxiliary, VFW Post 7339 and supported her husband Bob in all his endeavors; including serving during his Naval Service, Veteran's Affairs, Scouting and West Macon Fire Department. She loved to read.
She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Bob Litten; son, Joe Litten and wife Janice of Orenda, CA; two sisters, Peggy Silletto of Port St. Lucie and Joyce Parker of Tifton, GA and two grandchildren, Jeff and Jamie Litten.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, December 15, at the American Legion Post 108.
Macon Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
