Guy Hawks, 65, of Franklin, passed away on Sunday, April 21, 2013.
Born in Highland Park, MI, he was the son of the late Robert Hawks Sr and Mary Lou McCarty Hawks. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers and sister, Jack Hawks, Jerry Hawks and Linda Hawks. Guy enjoyed coin collecting and playing golf on the Wii. He was a member of Black Mtn. Baptist Church.
He is survived by nine brothers and sisters, Betty Lambert of Franklin, Bobby Hawks and wife Margaret of Franklin, Sue Farmer of Elm City, NC, Frank Hawks and wife Theda Kay of Etowah, NC, Carolyn Donaldson and husband Lloyd of Andrews, NC, Marilyn McConnell, Elaine Sanders and Joann Tallent all of Franklin and Jan Lowe and husband Bill of Elm City, NC; special friends, Jim and Peggy Tallent of Greenville, SC and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial Service will be held at 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 23rd at Black Mtn. Baptist Church. Rev. Cale Stancil and Rev. Morris Tippett will officiate.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Black Mtn. Baptist Church Building Fund.
