Obituary
Grover Davis Arvey, 82, of Franklin, entered into rest on Friday, November 11, 2005.
A native of Macon County, he was the son of the late Wade and Ruby Dean Arvey. He was married to the late Tava McCoy Arvey who died August 31, 2000. In addition he was preceded in death by a brother Otto Arvey. He graduated from Franklin High School and Brevard College. Grover was a US Marine Corp veteran. He retired from Burlington Industries and was a member of First United Methodist Church.
He is survived by a sister-in-law, Louise Arvey and nephew, Charles Arvey ; sister-in-law, Ann Bowen, Bitty Jo Nichols, Arbutus McCoy; brother-in-law, Tommy McCoy and wife Eoline all of Franklin; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, November 15, in the Chapel of Macon Funeral Home. Rev. Wayne Allen will officiate. Burial will be in the Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery with military graveside rites conducted by the VFW Post 7339 and American Legion Post 108.
The family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m. Tuesday, November 15, at Macon Funeral Home.
VFW Post 7339 and American Legion Post 108 will serve as Pallbearers.
Macon Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
