Obituary
"Granny" Fleeta Marie Anderson, 90, of Otto, passed away Thursday, May 22, 2014.
Born in Hazard, KY, she was the daughter of the late James Leonard Goodson and Delia Caudill Goodson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Matt Combs; daughter, Mary Anne Fernandez and son, Matt Combs, Jr. Fleeta enjoyed helping veterans keep in touch with one another. She loved children, was a past Sheriff of Hazard, KY and a member of Hickory Knoll United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her husband, James McPherson Anderson; daughter, Linda Sue Hopkins of Virgie, KY; son, Jeffrey Huggins of Ft. Myers, FL; step-daughter, Cathy Honerkamp of Franklin; several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held at 4:00 p.m. Saturday, May 31st at Hickory Knoll United Methodist Church. Rev. Paul Sears will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Macon Program for Progress for the Summer Backpack Program.
Macon Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
