Obituary
Mary Grace Norwood, 88 of Franklin, passed away on July 30, 2021.
Grace was born in Americus GA. to the late John D. and Mary Preskitt Hammock. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband, Marion Francis Powell and children Tim Norwood and Shannon Pilon.
Grace had a green thumb and took pleasure in caring for her plants. She was skilled at beading and enjoyed making jewelry.
She is survived by her children, Tammy Powell of Petal MS; Lexie McGowen of Petal, MS; Rod Roberts of Franklin NC; and Tena Hegner (Brian) of Franklin NC; several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Friday August 6, 2021, at Macon Funeral Home Chapel.
Rev. Steve Reeves will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Care Net at 130 Bidwell Street, Franklin, NC 28734.
