Grace Helms Folger, 97, of Franklin, passed away Sunday, May 27, 2012.

Born in Salisbury, NC, she was the daughter of the late Luther Helms and Carrie Roseman Helms. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Milton Folger and a daughter, Roberta Lee Nieuwenhuis. She retired after 67 years from Weils Company where she worked as a bookkeeper. Grace was a charter member of both Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Franklin and Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Goldsboro, NC; and a member of the N.C. Women's Business Association where she was former Vice President. She enjoyed crocheting, singing and long road trips. She spent many hours making lap blankets for the elderly.

She is survived by four grandchildren, Marc Bonkoski of Colorado, Rusty Bonkoski of Alabama, Michelle Noel of Arizona and Charles Noel of Wisconsin; four great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild and several nieces and nephews.

Memorial Service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, June 2 at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. Rev. John Maynard will officiate.
