Glenn O. Faulkner, born 25 July 1922 went home to be with his Lord on Wednesday, November 3, 2010. Mr. Faulkner was a resident of Franklin, NC for many years.
He was the son of the late Vescoe and Elizabeth Faulkner. He was preceded in death by his wife, Pauline "Polly" Faulkner, eight brothers, Leroy, Floyd, Ray and Rhea, Cline, Foster, Ross and Ralph Faulkner; two sisters, Marie Weaver and Mary Ruffner; a daughter, Rosemary Gober and a granddaughter, Beth Johnson.
Mr. Faulkner is survived by a son, Michael Faulkner of Crossville, TN and a daughter, Glenda Johnson of Franklin. There are six surviving grandchildren, Katinka Faulkner of Germany, Annie Faulkner Morganstern of Memphis, TN, Emily Gober Commerce of Germany, Erin Gober Palmer of Titusville, FL, Steve Johnson of Franklin and Abby Johnson of Franklin; nine great-grandchildren. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Mr. Faulkner was active in church work most of his life. He served in the Air Force for four years during WWII and spent 40 years in the printing business. His favorite hobbies were managing Little League baseball teams for 20 years and working with flowers and shrubs to beautify their property.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, November 7, at First Alliance Church. Rev. Mitch Schultz will officiate.
