Glenn Edwards, 86, of Franklin, entered into rest on Wednesday, June 22, 2005.
A native of Branch, Arkansas, he was the son of the late Ossiel Edwards and Lanora Pendergrass Edwards. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Blanche Marie Southard Edwards who died in 1995, a son, Jerry Edwards who died in 1949, two sisters, Jeanne Dowers and Mary Beth Massingill, and a brother, Scott Edwards. Glenn was a US Army veteran of WWII. He retired from Yokomaha Tire Co. and was a member of Maidens Chapel United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife of 8 years, Belva Nichols Hodgin Edwards; two sisters, Geraldine Heaton of Nacogdoches, Texas and Betty McCurdy of Pasadena, Texas; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 25, at Maidens Chapel Methodist Church. Rev. David Crunkleton will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery with military graveside rites conducted by the VFW Post 7339 and the American Legion Post 108.
The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 p.m. Saturday, at the church.
Pallbearers will be Chester Stanley, Fred Nichols, Jr., Kenneth Cook, Andy Southard, Darin Southard and Bill Norris.
