Obituary
Glenda Castleman Takach, 79 of Franklin, died Thursday, February 25, 2021.
Born in Miami, FL, she was the daughter of the late George Denton and Sue Ann Langford Castleman. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Paul "Jay" Takach in April 2016 and a granddaughter, Anastasia Scheufele in December of 2020. Glenda was Catholic and worked for many years as an LPN at Britthaven in Franklin. More recently she would be found working in her yard or her antiques.
Glenda is survived by daughters, Grace Phillips (Maurice) of Franklin, NC, and Pam Goins (Glenn) of Davie, FL; sons, Jon Balcom (Teresa) of Franklin, NC, George Balcom ( Luann) of Jacksonville, FL, Joe Takach of Cooper City, FL, and Paul John Takach (Ada) of Miami, FL; and a sister Carolyn Miller of New Mexico. Also surviving are her numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren, and her "Bonus" daughter, Monica Byrd of Franklin, NC .
Private services will be later in the spring.
