Gertrude "Trudy" Manchester Burandt, 89, of Franklin, NC, passed away Sunday, October 9, 2016.

Born in Rochester, NY, she was the daughter of the late Harold C. Manchester and Bessie May Gott Manchester. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Roger Wayne Burandt and seven brothers and sisters, Harold Manchester Jr.; Bessie Ward; Violet Schultz; Ray Manchester; Sherman Manchester; Frank Manchester; and Guy Manchester. Trudy graduated from Charlotte High, Rochester, NY in 1945. She loved square dancing, genealogy, reading, knitting and crafts.

She is survived by a daughter, Gail Frances Bradley and husband Floyd Argle Bradley of Franklin; son, Gary Curtiss Burandt of Kent, NY; daughter-in-law, Debra Paris of Fort Myers, FL; six grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
