Obituary
Georgiana Penland Beach, 76, of Franklin, passed away Saturday, June 23, 2018.
Born in Macon, Georgia, she was preceded in death by her parents, George Penland and Anita "Pat" Holland Penland; husband, LeRoy Beach. She was also preceded in death by Tammy Swafford, who she loved and treated as her own. Georgiana was a member of Franklin Church of Christ. She enjoyed music, gardening, playing cards and taking care of children.
She is survived by her daughter, Anita Cook and husband Chris of Franklin; brothers, Radford "Butch" Penland, Lonnie Penland and Terry Penland all of Franklin; sister, Glenda Penland of Franklin; two grandchildren, Amber Cook and Cole Cook and numerous nieces and nephews. Other survivors include Brooke Swafford and Isaiah.
Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 pm Sunday, July 1st, 2018 at Franklin Church of Christ, 90 McCollum Drive Franklin, NC 28734 . Minister Radford Penland will officiate.
A family gathering will follow the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Association
