George Merritt Thompson, 78, of Franklin, passed away Tuesday, February 10, 2009.
Born in Dover, DE, he was the son of the late George Washington Thompson and Jenny Best Thompson. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth Henschel Thompson. George was a telephone company engineer with Dramond State for 37 years.
He is survived by son, Kerry Thompson and wife Kathryn of Annapolis, MD; grandson, Drew Thompson and sisters, Mae T. Carrow of New Jersey, Eleanor Wall of Dover, DE and Grace Lucia of Wilmington, DE.
