George Daniel Scott, 75, of Franklin, passed away Monday, October 17, 2011.
Born in Macon Co., he was the son of the late Ralph Scott and Alice Franks Scott. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Fred and Clyde Scott; sister, Margie Scott and son in-law, Ben Beach. George loved to hunt, fish, dig ramps and hunt ginseng. He loved to joke. He was a member of Watauga Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Annie Bingham Scott; three children, Nancy Beach and Terry Scott and wife Robin both of Franklin and Tracy Scott and wife Phelica of Duncan, OK; brother, Clarence Scott of Franklin; sister, Bonnie Franks of Franklin; three grandchildren, Stuart Beach, Hunter Scott and Ashlyn Scott; special nieces, Elsie Williamson and Shirley Bradley; caregiver, Lupe Olvera and several additional nieces and nephews.
Funeral Service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, October 20 in the Chapel of Macon Funeral Home. Rev. Don Moffitt and Rev. Gary McCoy will officiate.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
