Obituary
Genevie DeHart Saunders, 67, of Franklin, passed away Friday, January 13, 2017.
Born in Swain County, NC, she was the daughter of the late Ferd DeHart and Birdell Robbins DeHart. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister. Genny attended The Prayer House and loved old gospel singing.
She is survived by her husband of 24 years, James Larry Saunders; uncle, Lawrence Robbins of Franklin and numerous cousins.
Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, January 17, at Macon Funeral Home. Rev. David Lee Williams and Rev. Frank Rodriguez will officiate. Burial will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 10-11 a.m. Tuesday, at Macon Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Macon Funeral Home, PO Box 1175, Franklin, NC 28744 to help with funeral expenses.
Macon Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
