Geneva Thomas Nations, 74, of Otto, passed away Friday, September 9, 2011.
Born in Macon Co., she was the daughter of the late Floyd Thomas and Lois Ledford Thomas. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Wilford Nations; a step-son, Gerald M. Nations and two sisters, Margie McWhite and Agnes McMath. Geneva loved working puzzles, crafts and cooking. She enjoyed life to the fullest. She was a member of Coweeta Baptist Church.
She is survived by a daughter, Jennifer Nations of Otto and Darrington, WA; special friend, Conley Shope of Otto; special friend's children, Oberah Williams of Gainesville, GA, Jacqueline Maitre of Ft. Lauderdale, FL and Fred Shope Jr. of Knoxville, TN; three sisters, Joan Lamb of Franklin, Jeanette Moody of Greenville, SC and Beatrice Dorr of Greenville, SC; brother, Clyde Thomas of Taylors, SC; several step grandchildren and great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, September 15, in Coweeta Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Davis Hooper will officiate.
The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 14, at Macon Funeral Home.
