Obituary

Gaylord Alonzo Bowman, Jr. (Lonnie), 81, of Otto, passed away on Saturday, January 20, 2018.
Born in Santa Barbara, CA, he was the son of the late Gaylord Alonzo Bowman, Sr., Beulah Leora Lamb Bowman Nielsen and Arnie Nielsen. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Virginia Bowman and second wife Cheryl Ann Bowman; a son, Gaylord Alonzo Bowman, III; brother, Robert Francis Bowman and sister, Joanne Leora Wollin. Lonnie will be remembered for his great story-telling around a campfire or anywhere for that matter, his contagious laugh, his love of hunting and fishing and his great love for his family, especially his wife Linda. He was a very talented landscape architect; from building waterfalls, ponds, landscaping developments, to salt water tanks. He loved the water and could likely be found by rivers, lakes, streams and oceans, and all the waters which defined him as a warrior in life. He was Presbyterian by faith.
He is survived by his wife and best friend of 35 years, Linda Jane Stewart Bowman; three daughters, Sherri Corey (Jeffery) of Rifle, CO, Tracy Kirouac (Mark) of Otto, and Patti Miller (Ron) of Port Orchard, WA; step-sons, Robert Bowman (Shannon) and Timothy Bowman both of Santa Maria, CA; step-daughter, Debra Mullenmeister (Eugene) of Bakersfield, CA; fifteen grandchildren and twenty great grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, February 10th.
Macon Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
