Garland "Pop" C. Bolding, 96, of Otto passed away Thursday, June 20, 2019.

Born in Pickens County, SC, he was the son of the late Walter S. Bolding and Jennie Gertrude Stephens Bolding. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Patricia Anne Bolding Mauldin; two grandchildren; sisters, Gladys, Sadie, Bethel and Melonie Pressler; and brothers, Oliver, Charles, Walter Jr, Arthur Gene, and Tommy. Pop was a US Navy veteran serving during WWII and was a member of Newman Chapel Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Nancy Bolding; children, Bryson Glen Bolding, Chester Bolding, and Jerry Lee Bolding all of Pickens County, SC; seven grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Graveside Service will be held at 3:30 pm Monday, June 24, at Newman Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Harvey Conner will officiate. Military honors will be conducted by VFW Post 7339 and American Legion Post 108.

The family will receive friends from 2-3 pm Monday, June 24, at Macon Funeral Home.
