Freda Harris DeGroff, 95, of Rabun Gap, GA, passed away Saturday, December 2, 2017.

Born in Orlando, FL, she was the daughter of the late Emmett Harris and Anna Strickle Harris. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, Ellis DeGroff; a daughter, Sandra DeGroff Morris; two grandchildren, Kyle Morris and Reagan Morris.

She is survived by three children, Susan DeGroff of West Palm Beach, FL, Richard (Pamela) DeGroff of Rabun Gap, GA and Robin (Gary) Sallenbach of Lake Worth, FL; grandchildren, Ty Cone (Michael Hartwyk) of Brooklyn, NY, Brian Cone of West Palm Beach, FL, Collette (Dan)Campbell of Tallahassee, FL, Jason (Erin) DeGroff of Tallahassee, FL, Shaun DeGroff of Melbourne, FL, Justin (Nicole) Sallenbach of Wellington, FL, Aubrey (Phillip) Skalniak of Milton, FL and eight great grandchildren.

Memorial Service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, December 9, at Rabun Gap Presbyterian Church. Rev. G. Donald (Don) Barber will officiate.

Grandson Brian Cone is a resident in an ARC facility and has always held a special place in his grandmother's heart.
