Fred Ernest Strong, 67 of Franklin, died Saturday, October 16, 2010.
Mr. Strong was a native of Wolf Run, Ohio. He was the son of the late James Robert Strong and the late Bertie Nance Strong. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Benny Strong and two sisters, Nancy Rauch and Juanita Sullivan. Fred moved to Franklin in 1977 and was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints. He was a US Navy veteran serving during Vietnam. Fred was also a member of the Franklin Radio Club. He enjoyed Hamm Radios and motorcycles.
Fred is survived by his wife, Maryam Wolfe Strong; a daughter, Debbie Russell of Powder Springs, Ga.; a son, Kelly Strong of Chattanooga,Tn.; one sister, Sue Coler of Ohio; three brothers, Jack Strong of North Jackson, Ohio; Tom Strong of Youngstown, Ohio; and Ronnie Strong of Connecticut. Ten grandchildren and six great grandchildren also survive.
A Memorial Service will be held at 4:00 p.m. Saturday, October 23 at the Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints in Franklin.
