Obituary
Fred Combs Jr., 71, of Franklin, NC, formerly of Sanderson, Fl passed away Monday, August 27, 2007. He was born in Taylor, FL on September 8, 1935.
He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Faye Combs, three sons: Jerry and wife Emy, Clayton and wife Penny, Bruce and wife Lisa; two daughters: Charlotte Mills and husband John, Renee Wolfe and husband Tom; two sisters: Mary Goodwin and Lavone Baxter; brothers: Russell, Louis, Lonnie, Donald Neal and Wendell Ray Combs; ten grandchildren, and two great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, the Reverend Fred and Annie Mae Combs Sr.
Visitation will be at Macon Funeral Home on Thursday August 30 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Services will be held on Friday at 11:00 a.m. at Oakdale Baptist Church in Burningtown.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Oakdale Baptist Church in care of Linda Higdon, 5650 Upper Burningtown Road, Franklin, NC 28734.
