Franklin "Frank" Finch, 79, of Franklin, passed away Thursday, February 24, 2011.
Born in Francisco, IN, he was the son of the late Sanford Clare Finch and Ella Harriett Helsey Finch. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by half sister, Winnagene Harbinson. Frank was a US Navy Veteran and served during the Korean Conflict. He loved restoring antique cars and tractors and was a member of the Antique Tractor Club and Gem Capitol Car Club in Franklin. Frank was a member of the Junaluskee Lodge 145 and former member of the American Legion Post 108. He was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Jeanetta Tooley Finch; daughter, Lisa Hampton and husband Mike of Franklin; son, Neil Finch of Franklin; four grandchildren, Heather, Laura, Matthew and Valerie; three great grandchildren, Brianna, Thomas and Caden and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 26, in the Chapel of Macon Funeral Home. Rev. Dan Lyons will officiate. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery with full military honors conducted by the VFW Post 7339 and American Legion Post 108. Masonic Rites will be conducted by Junaluskee Lodge 145.
The family will receive friends from 12-2:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Doyle Clark, Tony Oberley, Jacky Jones, Bobby Jones, George Moses, Wayne English, Steve Miller and Stanley Holland.
