Obituary
Frank Lawson Showalter, 75, of Franklin, passed away on Friday, August 28, 2020.
Born in Garden City, MI, Frank was the son of the late Carl Leo Showalter and Thelma Robinson Showalter. He proudly served his country in the US Air Force during Vietnam and worked most of his life as a flight engineer. Frank enjoyed collecting aviation memorabilia, studying genealogy and model railroading. He was Mormon by faith.
He is survived by his wife, Peggy Showalter; four children, Donald Showalter of Lakeland, OH, Ronald Showalter of Greenville, SC, Angie Showalter and Sonya Showalter of Spokane, WA; sister, Darlene Law of Phoenix, AZ; half-sister, Betty Wright of Merced, CA; three grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Hospice House Foundation of WNC, PO Box 815, Franklin, NC 28744.
