Frank "The Duke" Macaluso, 79, of Franklin, passed away Monday, September 16, 2013.
Born in Summit Hill, PA, he was the son of the late Benjamin Macaluso and Anna Kenderish Macaluso. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Louis and Michael Macaluso. Frank was a retired 24 year US Air Force veteran and a Bronze Star recipient while serving in Vietnam with the 7th Air Force- Mac V Division. His military decorations include AF Commendation Medal with one Vietnam Service Medal, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal and the AF Good Conduct Medal with three oak leaf clusters. He was an antique collector and dealt at the Franklin Flea Market. Frank was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church.
He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Elaine Brunner Macaluso; five children, Margaret Scott and husband Robert of Clinton, OH, Duane Macaluso and wife Amy of Jeffersonville, IN, Larry David Tate Jr. of Panama City, FL, Mark Tate and wife Christine of Titusville, FL and Mi Young Kosloski and husband Raymond of Aurora, CO; brother, Benjamin Macaluso Jr. of Pennsylvania; two sisters, Marie Keeny and Shirley Tarbett both of Pennsylvania; fifteen grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
