Frank L. Crisp, 89, of Franklin, passed away Friday, October 29, 2010.
Born in Macon County, he was the son of the late George Franklin Crisp and Emma Corbin Crisp. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Leneta Stiles Crisp who died in 2001 and grandson, Caleb Norton and a great grandson, Dalton Talley. He was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII. Frank was a member of Hickory Knoll United Methodist Church. He enjoyed beekeeping and gardening. He was a frequent contributor to the letters to the editor of the Franklin Press.
He is survived by four children, Gail Hughes of Augusta, GA, Sandra Talley of Franklin, Ruth Thomas of Hiawassee, GA and Donna Smith of Elberton, GA; brother, Roy P. Crisp of Franklin; sister, Marie Corbin of Franklin; four grandchildren, Benjamin Talley, Heath Talley, Travis Thomas and Abe Norton; three great grandchildren, Kaitlyn Talley, Caleb Talley and Savannah Norton; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral Service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, October 31, at Hickory Knoll United Methodist Church. Rev. Billy Sellers will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery with military rites conducted by the VFW Post 7339 and the American Legion Post 108.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Saturday, October 30, at Macon Funeral Home.
The VFW Post 7339 and the American Legion Post 108 will serve as Pallbearers.
Memorial donations can be made to the Hickory Knoll United Methodist Church Cemetery Fund.
