Obituary
Frank H. Cox, Jr. 72, of Franklin, entered into rest on Saturday, April 9, 2005.
A native of St. Petersburg, FL, he was the son of the late Frank Hartman Cox, Sr. and Fayrene Atherton Cox. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a son, Glenn Francis Cox who died in 1996. He retired from the U.S. Air Force after serving 20 years and served in the Korean Conflict and was in the Vietnam Era; and was a member of Prentiss Church of God.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara L. Cox; one daughter, Rebecca L. Summers; one brother, Thomas L. Cox of Kissimmee, FL; one sister, Sandra Griffith of Silver Springs, FL; four grandchildren, Tammy Summers of Franklin, Michael Summers of Winston Salem, NC, Ronnie E. Johnson, Jr. of DelCity, OK and Jaime Summers of Franklin; and eight great grandchildren.
Graveside Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, April 15, at the Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery, Black Mountain, NC. Rev. Don Moffitt will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Angel Home Health and Hospice, 170 Church Street, Franklin, NC 28734 or Prentiss Church of God Building Fund, P.O. Box 1713, Franklin, NC 28734.
