Faye Cabe Holland, 98, entered into her heavenly home on Monday, October 22, 2007 at her residence.
A native of Macon County, she has lived in Franklin her whole life. She was the daughter of James H. Cabe and Estelle McClure Cabe. She was preceded in death by her husband, Orron B. Holland who died June 7, 2000; three brothers and one sister. Faye was a member of Asbury Methodist Church. She was a homemaker and worked the Trout Farm with Orron for 30 years. She loved life and gave unconditional love to her family and grandchildren. She was our rock and comforter in the storms. Faye greeted everyone with a smile; she loved her garden, fish and cooking.
She is survived by one son, Max Holland and wife Jane of Franklin; one daughter, Barbara Caldwell and husband Richard of Clover, SC; five grandchildren, Lisa Hudgins and husband Monty, Tracy Chastain and wife April, Mandy Perry and husband Craig, Jill Yost and husband Rick and Susan Killian and husband Bryan; and eleven great grandchildren.
Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, October 24, in the Chapel of Macon Funeral Home. Rev. John Rogers and Rev. Greg Rogers will officiate. Burial will be in the Sugarfork Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Macon Funeral Home.
Memorial donations may be made to the Pinegrove Baptist Church, Fellowship Hall Fund, C/O Mark Debardelaben, 7454 Highlands Road, Franklin, NC 28734.
Pallbearers will be Tracy Chastain, Craig Perry, Mike Scott, Monty Hudgins, Rick Yost, Bryan Killian, Joe Holland, John Holland and Hilton Cabe.
Macon Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
