Faye "Launa" Bateman, 82, of Franklin went home to be with her Lord on Thursday, October 8, 2015.
Born in Macon Co, she was the daughter of the late George Bateman and Maude Baldwin. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by six brothers, James Huell, Hubert Edward, William "Billy" Thomas, George Jr, Mack "Bud" and William "Tommy" Bateman. Launa enjoyed gardening and canning. She was Baptist by faith.
She is survived by one sister, Wanda McDaniel and husband Gary and two brothers, James "Shorty" Bateman and Howard Grady Bateman and wife Phoebe all of Franklin. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews, whom she considered grandchildren, Candy, Cindy, Eddie, Terri, Robbie, Chris, Connie, Gary, Junior, Darryll, Jeanie, Jennifer, Chuck, Debbie, Rhonda, Rita, Trudy, Tony, Sherri, Lynn, Kristi, Marci, Janie and Jenny, as well as many great nieces and nephews.
Funeral Service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Monday, October 12th in the Chapel of Macon Funeral Home. Rev. Forman Bradley and Rev. Eddie Stillwell will officiate. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 p.m. Sunday, October 11th at Macon Funeral Home.
Nephews will serve as Pallbearers: Eddie Bateman, Junior Bateman, Darryll Bateman, Kayleb Bates, Austin Lewis, Billy Lewis, Lee Bates and Aaron Bates.
Macon Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
