Fannie Mae Wykle McGaha, 71, of Franklin, passed away Saturday, August 15, 2015.
Born in Macon County, she was the daughter of the late Oscar Wykle and Vissie Gibson Wykle. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Harold Furman McGaha; second husband, John Hyatt; step son, Johnny Hyatt; three brothers and four sisters. Fannie was a member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church.
Fannie Mae's greatest joy in life was spending time with her family and friends. She made friends with everyone she came into contact with and was like a mother and sister to many. She always helped others in need in any way that she could, and she continually worried about not being able to do for others during her final battle with illness. She loved the simple things in life and enjoyed bird watching and listening to her wind chimes on her front porch. She touched many lives and will be greatly missed.
