Evelyn S. Bryson, 91, of Franklin, passed away Thursday, March 5, 2015.
Born in New York, NY, she was the daughter of the late Charles Sondheimer and Ethel Keener Sondheimer. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Marion Bryson and sister, Elsie Deal. Evelyn worked as a teacher's assistant in Macon County. She enjoyed crafts, quilting, flower gardening and was a charter member as well as the oldest member of Riverside Fellowship Church.
She is survived by two sons, Bill Bryson and wife Virginia of Franklin and Joe Bryson and wife Janet of Seneca, SC; foster-brother, Bobby Henning of Las Vegas, NV; four grandchildren; six great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 7th at the Chapel of Macon Funeral home. Rev. Steve Reeves and Rev. Bill Deal will officiate. Burial will be in Salem Cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Joey Bryson, Alex Eaton, Billy Bryson, Jeff Bryson, Butch Deal, and Scottie Thomas. Clyde McCall, Furman Ledford, Eddie Fox, Bud Stanfield, Mac Stanfield, Charles Moody, John Holland and Travis Ball will serve as Honorary Pallbearers.
